Saliva Test by Condition

General Symptoms
Hormones are involved in numerous metabolic processes in the body and take on a wide variety of tasks. There is no process in the body in which hormones are not involved. The list of symptoms below is often associated with a hormonal imbalance.

Allergies & Intolerances
Our immune system gets confused when the hormone glands and the intestines are no longer sufficiently functional. Therefore, hormones, liver and intestines play an important role in allergies and intolerances - not just food and environmental influences. As far as hormones are concerned, a test shows which hormone area is out of balance.

Anxiety (with/without panic attacks)
Anxiety (with or without panic attacks) can have various causes. Hormonal causes are, for example, thyroid dysfunction or inadequate thyroid hormone substitution. In the steroid area, both deficiencies and oversupply can be responsible for anxiety disorders. A query of the steroid hormones is therefore useful.

Asthma
Little considered and treated: The hormonal relationships in asthma patients.

Chronic Eyelid Inflammation
The symptom is more common in children and seniors than in the middle-aged. The focus here is often on a general susceptibility to inflammation and related, specific hormone deficiencies.

Autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto's, Graves' disease, lupus, etc.)
Special attention is paid to the adrenal hormones, such as DHEA and cortisol.
Cystitis
If it is a chronic permanent irritation or inflammation of the bladder, then sufficient DHEA, cortisol and estriol would be of particular importance.

Burnout / Chronic Fatigue
Persistent excessive demands on the body, mind and soul in everyday life can lead to the diagnosis of "burnout syndrome" or "chronic fatigue syndrome". Among other things, the hormonal balance plays an important role. A hormone test should be carried out on an ordinary working day.

Chronic Disease
With chronic diseases, our immune system is hardly able to ward off or overcome any additional inflammations, allergies, or infections. In hormone measurements, we see largely weakened adrenal hormones (DHEA and cortisol) in such cases. But sex hormones are also important for the immune system, especially when it comes to metabolism, maintaining the health of the intestines, liver, glands, and tissues. We therefore recommend a comprehensive hormone test.

Dementia / Memory Loss
A deficiency in progesterone and thyroid hormone T3 should be avoided, among other things, in the event of the first suspicion of dementia or conspicuous forgetfulness.

Depression / Severe Mood Swings
Our emotional world is influenced by many hormonal areas. If your emotions are on a roller coaster, then we recommend checking both the thyroid and sex hormones. If a psychotropic drug or other preparations are already being taken, this should be stated in the questionnaire, because many influence the hormonal balance.

Thrombosis
Blood clotting responds to several hormone areas. This includes estradiol and its relationship to progesterone and testosterone.

Eating Disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia ) Unbalanced Diet
Eating disorders and a one-sided diet pose a major challenge for the body's own hormone regulation. How the body reacts hormonally to the restricted food intake is very clearly visible in the saliva test.

Fibromyalgia
In a systemic disease such as fibromyalgia, many hormone areas are typically deficient.

Joint Problems
Joint problems are often caused by inflammatory processes, deposits, or wear and tear of joint mucous membranes and cartilage. Since tissues and mucous membranes depend on a balanced hormone supply, the hormone balance should be taken into account in this regard.

Weight Gain
Unexplained weight gain can be caused by hormones, among other things. Measures and medications for hormonal contraception are particularly noteworthy here. Hypothyroidism can also cause extra pounds.

Weight Loss
If the weight is getting less and less, this can be due to hormonal reasons. The thyroid gland should not be ignored.

Hemorrhoids
The firmness and moisture of tissue depend, among other things, on testosterone, estradiol, estriol and progesterone. This also applies to hemorrhoids in the rectum

Heart Problems
Heart function depends, among other things, on a balanced supply of cortisol, progesterone and testosterone.

Pre-Disposition to Infections
Our immune system depends on a balanced hormone supply. If DHEA and other hormone levels drop too much, it affects our immune system.

Varicose Veins
Tissue weakness favors varicose veins. Here we see specifically a testosterone weakness, sometimes paired with strong estradiol or cortisol deficiency.

Fibroids
In most cases, the hormones estradiol, estriol, testosterone and progesterone are involved in some way in the development of fibroids

Osteoporosis & Early Stages
Bone density is largely dependent on a hormonal balance of estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid hormones.

Digestive Problems
The intestine is not only a hormone-forming organ, but it also needs specific hormones for its functionality. Therefore, the hormone balance is important in chronic intestinal problems.

Cysts / Polycystic Ovarien Syndrome PCO
Cysts (not only on the ovaries) can occur when the sex hormones decrease and therefore the stimulating hormone FSH increases. Thyroid hormones are also sometimes involved in cyst formation.

Please note that hormonal disorders can only be one of several possible causes of the symptoms listed.
